ABOUT OUR STUDIO

Designs by Sylvanye Teaching Studio is a full-time kiln-formed glass, and precious and base metal (clay & sheet) teaching studio located in Smyrna, TN only 20 minutes from Nashville.

We are dedicated to teaching students how to design and create beautiful works of glass and metal art such as those listed below using a conventional glass kiln or the revolutionary Microkiln (microwave kiln brand).

Students will learn to cut and refine their glass designs using various glass cutters, grinders, sanders, etc.

During the kiln firing process, the glass designs and/or metals will be fired or soldered at temperatures ranging from 1250 degrees F to 1700 degrees F.
